All dogs around home barked at me. Perhaps this is the reason.

When I was a child, all dogs in neighborhood barked at me. I thought the dog was naturally an aggressive animal. But I saw the video below and came up with a hypothesis. Perhaps all of them were Shiba Inu. According to the experts, Shiba Inu is not recommendable for beginners as it's too difficult to discipline.

Teletubbies yesterday.

Teletubbies faced a problem of how to divide 9 pieces of toast among 4 persons (creatures?). The decision they made was quite unpredictable. I would never get the same results in the bargaining game experiments. Thus I conclude that they are significantly different from human beings.

I invited Ale, an Italian friend, for dinner last Saturday, but my cooking was not successful. She sometimes comes to Norwich as a visiting student. It gave me a good incentive to clean my house.
My mother likes the cheese that I had sent. Fede bought it in Bologna for my family. But what my mother didn't notice was the purpose of the big pack of crisps, which I put in the parcel together, wasn't merely a cushion. It was Kettle Chips; I wanted to send a taste from Norwich, too.

We watched BBC programme Human Planet. The pictures are amazing. I was wondering how they had filmed in some scenes. I was curious about food called kiviaq, the fermented birds, but Fede was not convinced at all.

Fede cooked chicken with spinach and mozzarella cheese. Yummy!

I applied for a new visa last September and finally I got it. Now I am entitled to stay in UK. Very much relieved. Because Home office was keeping my passport, I could not go abroad during Christmas time.

We went to the cinema to watch The King's Speech. I knew nothing about the queen mother, except she was a fun of Only Fools & Horses. I couldn't imagine that she had gone through such a difficulty. I find the film is very moving.

Angry man strips naked on Shinkansen

A Yamagata man was arrested Jan 18 for public obscenity after he stripped nude inside a Tohoku Shinkansen while stopped at JR Morioka Stn. The 32-year-old man told police he got undressed after realising he rode on the wrong train. “I was so disgusted by my uselessness that I figured there was nothing to do but throw off my clothes and start from square one.”

I want to ride in Tohoku Shinkansen in winter.

I am writing a programme code for an experiment. If I finish tomorrow, we can start running the pilot session on Friday.

It gives me deja vu feeling. In 1997, Japanese PM Hashimoto decided to increase the rate of VAT from 3% to 5%, as government debt was thought to have reached unhealthy level and Japanese economy had shown the sign of recovery. Sadly the recession came back in the next year. The unemployment rate and suicide rate increased dramatically, then Hashimoto resigned. The next PM Obuchi had to increase government debt a lot to boost the economy, he sarcastically called himself "The king of debt".

I didn't know that but indeed I felt the sunlight was strangely weak this morning before the meeting with my boss. The very orange light coming into the corridor of the university reminded me of Dario Argento's Suspiria.

Fede and I visited Whitstable, a fishery town. The bus took less than 30 minutes from Canterbury.

We went to a restaurant for lunch. It was a pretty posh place. Since we couldn't afford the full course meal, we skipped the main, only had appetiser and dessert.
